The 3 sirens in concert
for Steampunk Contest

Theme: Steampunk in conjunction with myths and legends.
The idea was quickly found. I chose the sirens from Greek mythology. 3 should it be.
Now, the combination with Steampunk be found.
Technology. Machines.
Hm, ok...the sirens sing. Aha! They sing into microphones. The first idea was an art concert hall. Later I decided for an art recording studio.
Thus the 3 sirens are felt at home, they should be sitting on a small piece of rock.
I still wanted to somehow incorporate my own style.
First, I had very normal brains of 3 beautiful womens on the bodies.
Hm. .. to normal. To normal for me. So I decided for crazy heads. As I often do with my works.

After the sketches were made, I started simultaneously with the sirens.
First, I built a low-poly mesh in Cinema 4D.
This was exported into ZBrush.
In ZBrush the mesh was refined. Details like the shed. Then made three duplicates. I modeled the stone directly in ZBrush. Then I took the 3 sirens positioned on the stone.
Back in Cinema 4D I built the scaffold, which should keep the stone.
I exported the models from ZBrush to Cinema 4D.
Now it was time to fine the camera position.
The 3 sirens and the stone I had in ZBrush textured. I used the AUV Tiles. It goes faster. But brings the disadvantage that often a lot of post is needed.
The rest I modeled in Cinema 4D.
Then it was time for the setup. Lights were set. Countless test
renderings made.
The final image I had made with the new Advanced renderer in Cinema 4D.
Finally, made the post with Photoshop.

And ready.
Can you hear it?

Software: BodyPaint, CINEMA 4D, Photoshop, ZBrush
